Cygnos360 V2.0 ist ein an add-on PCB welches es ermöglicht, mehr als eine Kernel Version auf der Xbox360 zu betreiben. Sobald man den Cygnos360 v2.0 in die Xbox360 eingebaut hat, kann man ihn per USB mit dem PC verbinden. Mit dem Cygnos 360 v2.0 kann man supereinfach zwischen zwei Kernel Versionen hin- und herschalten. So kann man z.B. einen "JTag Hack"-Kernel auf der einen Bank und einen originalen Kernel auf der anderen Bank haben. Ebenso kann man den Cygnos360 v2.0 dafür verwenden zwischen PAL und NTSC Kernel zu switchen, nachdem man sich den CPU Key ausgelesen hat
Wichtig ist, dass man die Box noch nicht auf Kernel 85xx upgedated hat, weil mit diesem Update auch der Bootloader der Xbox360 erneuert wurde, welcher den JTAG Hack blockiert.
Bemerkung: Cygnos360 beinhaltet kein Kernel Image. Er wird leer ausgeliefert. Cygnos 360 ermöglicht es nicht, Backups zu spielen, er hat nichts mit den DVD Firmware Hacks zu tun.

Through installation of Cygnos 360, the onboard NAND-flash memory is complemented with another NAND-flash memory contained on the Cygnos 360 printed-circuit board. Being able to choose between both NAND-flash memories opens up a variety of new fascinating possibilities. The following list tries to give you an impression about what can be done with Cygnos 360:
